Low Vision is a measurable reduction in our ability to resolve what we see even with correction. Most would agree that low vision and reduced vision refer to the same phenomenon. The reason one can have reduced vision is usually a retinal condition like macular degeneration. Typically we recommend magnifiers in conjunction with a low vision device such as a magnifier to compensate. In many cases a good magnifier will be sufficient. In more severe cases, some type of digital magnifier will be used.
The digital magnifiers used at Crystal Eyecare are from Eschenbach.
